College member, Professor Kim H M Chow of the School of Life Sciences, has received Young Scientists Fund 2023 from the National Nature Science Foundation of China (NSFC), and granted RMB300,000 in support of her research project “ATM as a critical mediator of insulin-regulated metabolic flexibility and the related implications in cerebellar ataxia”.

The NSFC’s Young Scientists Fund aims to foster the development of young scientists by supporting young scholars to carry out basic research in areas of their choice, enhancing their ability to conduct innovative projects independently. This fund started accepting applications from Hong Kong researchers in 2022.
