College member, Professor Huang Yu, School of Biomedical Sciences, was awarded Senior Research Fellow Scheme from the Research Grants Council (RGC) in recognition of his excellent achievements in their research areas. His research project is Systemic Benefits of Physical Activity: Crosstalk between Organs on Signal Transduction from Mechano-stimulation to Metabolism.

Launched in 2020–2021, RGC Senior Research Fellow Scheme support each awardee with a fellowship grant for over a period of 60 months to cover salary costs for relief teachers and support for research projects, as a mean to facilitate their dedication to research.
