Group Sense Social Innovation and Sustainable Development Award (GSSA)

Group Sense Social Innovation and Sustainable Development Award (GSSA)

The Social Innovation and Experiential Learning Project (SIEL) is a new initiative developed in 2019-2020 to promote social innovation by engaging students in different forms of experiential learning activities on and off campus.

Thanks to the support of College Trustee Dr Samson Tam, the former “Group Sense Innovation and Entrepreneurial Project Award” was renamed “Group Sense Social Innovation and Sustainable Development Award”, and is launched again in 2021-22. Social responsibility and sustainable development have been introduced to revamp the competition with more distinctive features and aspiration. The competition is now included in the College’s SIEL. The new structure will be beneficial for creative ideas to grow and for short-term projects to be executed then developed into some mature social enterprises.
