Social Innovation and Experiential Learning Project (SIEL)

Internship Programme

The Internship Programme was a pilot programme of SIEL Project 2019-20. Each student in the Programme was assigned to a social enterprise for one school term as a part-time intern. During their internship, students would be supervised by a host supervisor. The College communicated with both sides to keep track of the students’ progress. Students were required to complete certain hours of work and to submit a reflective report after completion.

Through the Programme, students were able to learn about the operation of a social enterprise, gain some practical work experience, and strengthen their soft skills. As social innovation has become a popular term across different fields, such internship experience will motivate students to think and create more innovative business and promotional ideas, and will greatly improve their understanding of the society’s needs.
