The Group Sense Social Innovation and Sustainable Development Award (GSSA) 2024-2025 kicked off in January 2025. During a month-long online training period, participants engaged in various themed training sessions and crafted their project proposal under expert guidance. The teams showcased their social innovation projects at the Project Presentation & Competition Day held on 24 March 2025.

This year, two teams, “Menfit” and “Upcyclothes”, competed for the championship of GSSA. “Menfit” focused on enhancing people’s mental health through exercise, while “Upcyclothes” aimed to recycle unwanted clothing and raise people’s environmental awareness.

Mr Brook Y X Sun, Investment Director of Hong Kong Inno Angel Fund, represented Dr Samson W H Tam, College Trustee and donor of GSSA, at this year’s Competition Day. Mr Sun shared his experiences in angel investments and highlighted several funded projects. In addition, the College was honoured to have Professor Martin C S Wong, Associate Head and Dean of Students, Dr Tracy Ng, Advisor of Fullness Social Enterprises Society (FSES), and Ms Tricia Y S Kwong, Project Director for the Hong Kong Social Enterprise Challenge, Centre for Entrepreneurship, CUHK as Guest Judges. They provided a lot of useful advice to the participating teams.
