Applications are now open for the Alumnus TO Cho-Yee Award for Chinese Classical Art 2025-2026. The award has been established to support students in their creative and developmental endeavors within the field of traditional Chinese art and culture, and to encourage the sustained cultivation of interest in this area.
Submission Requirements
Participants are required to submit an original entry related to traditional Chinese arts and culture, accompanied by a written interpretation (maximum 200 words) The interpretation should include suggestions on how the College can further promote this type of Chinese art.
The content and format of the entry shall include but not limited to Chinese calligraphy, literature, paper-cutting, painting, opera, dance, Guoshu, music, etc. For performance (such as dance, Guoshu, music,etc.), participants must submit a performance video not longer than 20 minutes.
Awards
Grand Awards: 2 (Cash prize of HKD$ 3,000 each)
Finalists: 4 (Cash prize of HKD$ 500 each)
Application Procedure and Deadline
All UC students are welcome to apply. Students should complete the online application form and upload their artworks by 5:00 pm, 22 December 2025.
The original artworks must be submitted to the Dean of Students’ Office by the same deadline, except for performance art entries. Late submission will not be accepted. The results will be announced in late Jan 2026.
