United College Alumni Day 2022

It is our tradition to organise the annual Alumni Day in late October. Thanks to our alumni’s staunch support, the turnout rate usually exceeds a hundred. To follow the University and College’s guidelines for social and non-academic events during COVID-19, the College will organise Alumni Day 2022 for alumni and their families to celebrate UC 66th Anniversary.

The College will organise a series of activities on 29 October 2022 (Sat) at 3:00pm for United College alumni and their families. Appended please find the itinerary:

2:30 pm

Shuttle buses will be arranged to pick up alumni from University MTR Station to United College Campus

2:45 pm

Alumni can register and get a welcome gift from the registration counter outside the UCC1, T C Cheng Building of United College

3:00 pm

– Welcoming speeches by College Head and President of the College Alumni Association

– Group Photo Taking

3:20 pm

The College will arrange three different programmes for alumni and their family members at the same time

Programme 1: “Create your own Pizza” Workshop【Parent-child class】

Target: Children Aged 4-10

Quota: 20 Pairs (1 parent and 1 child)

【In order to let more families join the workshop, each                          alumnus/alumna can only apply for 1 pair, that is, 1 parent and 1 child】

Venue: Si Yuen Amenities Centre, T C Cheng Building

Programme 2: Happy Chinese Calligraphy Workshop

Instructor: Dr Keung Chiu Yuk Lin Caroline (72/CHI)

Quota: 12 persons               

 Venue: Staff Common Room, 3/F, Cheung Chuk Shan Amenities Building, United College

Programme 3: Sport Activities Fun Day (basketball, badminton and table tennis)

Quota: An upper limit of alumni will be set for each venue to keep social distancing

Venue: Thomas H C Cheung Gymnasium and Table Tennis Room, United College

Registration Detail:

1)   In order to keep social distancing, a quota is set for each programme. All UC alumni are welcome to join on first-come-first-served basis.

2)   All programmes are free of charge. Each participant may bring up to three family members to the event.

3)   All participants are required to present their Vaccine Pass for vertification when they enter CUHK.

4)   Participants must wear masks during the workshops and no eating or drinking is allowed during the workshops.

5)   The College will monitor the update situation of the Covid-19 pandemic. The College reserves the right to cancel the function if there is any change.  We will keep you informed.
