Workshop Series for Workplace Freshmen

The College will organise a new series – Workshop Series for Workplace Freshmen, to equip graduating students with better preparation for Career Planning and Job Interview. We hope that our alumni speakers will give students more insights on your future career. The workshop will be conducted via Zoom, in a small group setting of 8 – 10 participants. Details of the workshop are listed as follows:

Speaker: Ms Leeann Kee – Leeann is passionate in people development and her career is building around talent management and learning & development functions. She brings in young talents such as Interns and Management Trainees for a number of corporations. She enjoys developing Interns and Trainees into young professionals, working with young generation provides her source of inspirations, energy and keeps her young at heart! She serves as the bridge of business leaders and young talents, always ready to prepare them to overcome challenges and excel in their next roles. She’s currently with a multinational luxury brand. 

Content of the Workshop 1 & 2:

·         How to excel in telephone/ video interviews?

·         How long does it take to get job offer? why it takes so long?

·         Q&A session (Successful registered students are required to submit one question they would like to know more from Leeann)

2nd Workshop Date & Time:29 May 2020 (Fri) 5:00pm – 6:00pm (conducted in English)

Speaker: Ms Quinny Chan – Quinny is an experienced career coach and talent acquisition professional. She has worked closely with senior executives and HR directors on talents recruitment, and has extensive experiences in candidates sourcing, interviewing and offer advising. She is now working in the field of Career Development for MBA Programme in a university.

3rd Workshop Date & Time:27 May 2020 (Wed) 6:00pm – 7:00pm (conducted in Cantonese)

4th Workshop Date & Time:3 June 2020 (Wed) 6:00pm – 7:00pm (conducted in English)

Speaker: Ms Yip Hiu Wai – Influenced by her family, Ding-Ding believes a simple heartwarming homemade meal helps bring the family together. Understanding the difficulties city dwellers with long working hours face when taking care of their fresh and healthy food demand, and the struggles housewives face when entering the labor market with household limitations, Ding-Ding started Festyle before graduation. Festyle is a social enterprise which aims to promote cook-it-yourself culture, as well as women employment and empowerment. Festyle makes the use of traditional wisdom and seasonal ingredients to deliver ready-to-cook cuisine boxes, providing tailor-made job opportunities for women to unleash their potential and develop their social network.

·         Q&A session (Successful registered students are required to submit one question they would like to know more from Hiu Wai)

For graduating classes’ students, please register the workshops to get prepared for your future career.
