2026 Lunar New Year Gathering

The 2026 Lunar New Year Gathering jointly hosted by the College and United College Staff Association (UCSA) was held on 4 March 2026, with over 60 members joining to celebrate the Year of the Horse.

This year, we are grateful to receive continuous support from Professor Chang Song Hing, Senior College Tutor, who had warmly prepared over 30 lantern riddles for our participants to solve before the gathering officially started. Although the lantern riddles were rather challenging, Professor Chang was more than happy to guide the participants to the answers with useful tips! We hope all participants enjoyed this traditional activity.

An exciting lion dance performance was presented by the United College Martial Art Society to kick off the gathering, followed by a warm welcome speech and festive blessings delivered by Professor Stephen H S Wong, College Head and Professor Peter C K Cheung, Chairperson of UCSA respectively. Afterwards, participants played the exciting Bingo Game, won gifts, and feasted together. The buffet lunch was well‑received by participants as always!

May the College and UCSA take this opportunity to congratulate all Bingo winners again, and to wish everyone good health, good luck and a prosperous Year of the Horse!
