【UC Mentorship】Illuminating Career Pathways for Mentees: Mentee’s Briefing Session & Workshop
UC Shum Choi Sang Mentorship Programme: Year of Ho Man Sum 2025–2026 officially commenced on 17 September with its first event — the Mentees’ Briefing Session cum Workshop. The College was honoured to invite Ms Winnie W Y Tam, College Alumnus and Mentor, as the guest speaker. Her talk, titled Your Career Trio: CVs, LinkedIn and Networking, offered practical and inspiring insights into job search strategies, personal branding, and professional networking with fellow mentees.
Ms Tam shares practical tips on CV writing and professional networking during the workshop.
68 mentees responded positively, praising Ms Tam’s engaging delivery and the depth of her sharing. Many found the workshop highly relevant to career development in real life, especially in areas such as CV writing and leveraging LinkedIn effectively. The event not only deepened mentees’ understanding of the programme but also fostered an interactive and encouraging learning atmosphere, marking a strong start to this year’s mentorship programme.
The Mentees’ Briefing Session was well attended, with participants fully engaged in the speaker’s sharing.
This event laid the foundation for mentees to begin exploring their career paths. The College looks forward to offering a diverse range of activities throughout the year, supporting students in discovering their aspirations, building meaningful connections, and developing clear career directions with guidance from their mentors. The programme will continue to foster mutual inspiration and growth among UCians throughout their career exploration journey.
