Mental Health First Aid Course in 2025-26
To deepen students’ understanding of mental health and cultivate a more supportive campus environment, the College Student Wellness Programme organised another Mental Health First Aid Course this year, taught by UC alumna Ms Cassie Lam from Shelter by Shell and Spines. The course covered practical mental health knowledge, incorporated discussion and debate sessions to encourage deeper reflection.
On 30 October 2025, a total of 18 students completed the course. During the final session, Professor Tse Chi Shing, Associate Dean of Students, and Ms Cassie Lam jointly presented the Mental Health First Aid Course Certificate (Youth Version) issued by the Hong Kong Mental Health Association. We believe that students’ awareness and sensitivity towards mental health have been further strengthened through this training.
The College will continue offering related activities, and we welcome all interested students to join. We hope participants will apply what they learned and offer timely support to those around them—sometimes, a simple word of care can make a meaningful difference.
