Back to School, Back to Vibes: United College Art Fair 2025

The campus is once again buzzing with energy as students return with mixed emotions—excited yet nervous, full of anticipation yet slightly uncertain. To help everyone kick off the new academic year on a joyful note, the College hosted the United College Art Fair on the first day of semester, 1 September 2025, offering a series of vibrant activities to help students reconnect with campus life in a fun and engaging way.

Discover the Diversity of UC Culture and Student Life

The start of a new term is the perfect time to explore new opportunities. Many students are eager to learn more about student activities, and some are even considering joining or serving the committee of the student associations. The Art Fair provided an ideal platform for students to connect with 26 student groups and college activities, offering a glimpse into the rich and dynamic culture of United College.

Each booth was thoughtfully designed, not only to introduce the unique features of each group but also to offer creative souvenirs and interactive tasks. The College management team also visited the fair, stopping by each booth to engage with students and learn more about the latest developments in student life. The atmosphere was warm and lively throughout the day!

By completing tasks at various booths and collecting stamps, they could redeem free ice cream and participate in a gacha lucky draw. The prizes were incredibly attractive. The luckiest winners of the “Head’s Prize” were also invited to enjoy afternoon tea with the College Head, offering a rare opportunity for direct conversation and exchange. In addition, students received a randomly distributed commemorative card specially designed by the College, featuring iconic United College buildings and landmarks, student hostels, and non-residential halls. It’s perfect for collecting!

UC Instant Photo Booth a Big Hit

The onsite UC instant photo booth was a crowd favourite, with long queues of students eager to capture memories with friends and mark the start of the 2025 academic year with a fun photo keepsake.

Afternoon Tea with the College Head

On 12 September, Professor Stephen H S Wong, College Head, hosted an afternoon tea with three prize-winning students . Each student was accompanied by a UC friend, making the occasion a warm and engaging group exchange. The event provided a valuable opportunity for the College Head to gain deeper insight into students’ thoughts and needs, fostering closer communication and connection between students and staff.

From morning till evening, the event saw a steady stream of participants and an energetic atmosphere throughout. A heartfelt thank you to all the teams involved in planning and setting up the booths, and to every staff member and student who joined us. We hope the United College Art Fair helped everyone start the new academic year with joy, connection, and inspiration!
