College Singing Contest 2026 – Singlantic

Mr Li Ka Long, Champion of the Solo section

The College Singing Contest Final was held on 25 February 2026 at Sir Run Run Shaw Hall. This year’s theme, “Singlantic” symbolised how music connects students and provides a stage for them to fulfil their performing aspirations. Throughout the evening, 16 groups of contestants poured their hearts into their performances. From soulful solo acts and seamless group harmonies to the highly entertaining Funny section, every performer showcased exceptional vocal talent and a profound passion for music.

After two hours of exhilarating competition, Mr Li Ka Long (NURS/1), a first-time participant, emerged as the champion of the Solo section with his standout performance. Ms Liu Tsz Ki (MEDU/4) and Mr Wong Hei Nam (TRAN/4) were awarded the first and second runners-up, respectively, for their outstanding performances.

In the Group section, “BBBGG” — composed of five students from diverse majors: Mr Chan Chun Man (QFRM/3), Mr Ryan Y Y Chan (RMSC/3), Mr Chong Chun Yin (NURS/1), Ms Sofie H T Kwok (COMM/2), and Ms Yeung Wai Nga (MEDU/2), claimed the championship title with their impressive coordination.

Meanwhile, the Leadership Training Society “Leadvesta” demonstrated immense popularity by winning the Most Popular Award in the Funny section for the first time, thanks to the overwhelming support from the audience.

Adding to the excitement, Mr Ian Chan, a member of the popular Hong Kong boy band MIRROR, graced the stage as the grand finale guest. His delicate and soulful vocals mesmerised the audience, pushing the atmosphere to its peak as cheers and applause echoed throughout the hall.
