CUHK Alumni Day cum United College Head’s Tea Gathering 2025

The CUHK Alumni Day Head’s Dinner, originally scheduled for 29 November 2025, was rescheduled and held on 7 March 2026, in the form of the CUHK Alumni Day cum United College Head’s Tea Gathering. Featuring a wide range of activities, the event attracted many alumni and their families to return to their alma mater for a warm and joyful alumni homecoming celebration.

During the daytime, the College Alumni Association (UCAA) set up game booth at the University Mall. Office-bearers of UCAA thoughtfully prepared a variety of booth games and generous souvenirs, drawing enthusiastic participation from alumni and their families. The atmosphere was lively and filled with laughter throughout the afternoon. On-site alumni membership promotion was conducted during the event, offering exclusive joining privileges and receiving an encouraging response from alumni.

At 4:00 p.m., around 160 guests, alumni and their families gathered at the College for the Head’s Tea Gathering. A delightful afternoon tea was specially prepared to welcome alumni and their families back to the familiar campus. As a token of appreciation for their longstanding support and affection for the College, commemorative souvenirs were presented to each alumnus in attendance.

The Tea Gathering was officiated by Ms Elaine Y L Ho, Council Member of UCAA, and Mr Ng Chi Wui, Executive Committee Member of UCAA, who served as Masters of Ceremonies. Following the introduction of the guests, Professor Stephen H S Wong, College Head, and Mr John K H Lee, President of UCAA, delivered their speeches in turn, expressing heartfelt gratitude to alumni for returning to the College with their families and for continuing the enduring United College spirit.

A toast officiated by College guests, including Board of Trustees’ members, College management, office-bearers of the College Alumni Association, and Senior College Tutors.

Throughout the event, many alumni were reunited with former teachers and classmates whom they had not seen for many years, exchanging greetings and catching up on one another’s lives. Over afternoon tea, participants reminisced about campus memories, with heartfelt camaraderie naturally unfolding through smiles and conversations—vividly reflecting the United College spirit of lasting bonds across generations.
