Mental Health First Aid Course (2025-26 Term 2)

To support students’ holistic well-being, the College Student Wellness Programme once again offered the Mental Health First Aid Course this semester, inviting UC alumnus, Ms Cassie W S Lam from Shelter by Shell and Spines as the instructor. The course equipped students with practical mental health knowledge through discussions and debate activities, encouraging deeper reflection and interactive learning.

The course commenced on 30 January 2026, and 16 students successfully completed all sessions on 27 February 2026. During the final class, Professor Tse Chi Shing, Associate Dean of Students, together with Ms Cassie Lam, presented participants with the Mental Health First Aid Course Certificate (Youth Version) issued by the Hong Kong Mental Health Association. The College believes that the training has enhanced students’ ability to recognise and respond to mental health needs.

Participants in the course have shown genuine care for the emotional well-being of those around them. The College hopes that students will apply what they have learned — offering support to others when needed and helping to build a more connected and compassionate campus community.
