The inaugural presentation of the United College Young Fellows, alongside the Outstanding Young Fellowship Award, was held on 17 October 2025 during the College 69th Anniversary Ceremony.

Established in the 2023-2024 academic year, the Young Fellowship Academy is dedicated to empowering outstanding United College students with the mindset and skills needed to thrive in a globalised world.

This year, ten students successfully completed the 20-month leadership training programme and were formally recognised as the inaugural cohort of United College Young Fellows. Programme highlights included high-table dinners, corporate visits, and mentorship with distinguished senior leaders, and a two-week course on global leadership at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom.

Ms Lina H Y Yan, Chairman of the College Board of Trustees, presented a sash to each Young Fellow individually. Among the ten Young Fellows, Mr Kelvin W C Yung (MEDU/4), was selected by the Selection Panel to receive the Outstanding Young Fellowship Award, along with a scholarship of HK$10,000, in recognition of his exceptional leadership and significant contributions to the College.
