The 2nd Cohort of the UC Young Fellowship Academy: Two-Day Leadership Training Camp

The United College Young Fellowship Academy is dedicated to equipping outstanding UC students for the challenges of a globalised world and empowering them to achieve new milestones. In January 2025, 15 Young Fellows-to-be (YFBs) were selected through a rigorous interview process. To enhance self-awareness and foster team cohesion, the College organised a two-day training camp at the Wong Siu Sang Leadership Training Centre, Scout Association of Hong Kong, from 1 to 2 March 2025.

During the camp, participants engaged in a series of activities under the guidance of experienced instructors. These activities included mountain pathfinding, fire-making, dinner preparation, camp setup, camping, and high rope challenge. The intensive schedule and unpredicted weather conditions tested the participants’ physical endurance and adaptability.

The training camp, filled with numerous challenges, fostered greater cooperation among participants, making it a uniquely enriching experience. Through the activities, participants transitioned from strangers to building rapport and understanding.

The College anticipates the YFBs will continue to demonstrate their leadership and teamwork skills, facing future challenges with confidence and resilience.
