United to Radiance: United College Orientation Camp 2025
Over 260 local and non-local freshmen stepped into United College campus under the rising sun. As the first student activity of their university journey, the Organising Committee hoped that the 4-day-3-night Orientation Camp would help freshmen to adapt to university life, build meaningful connections, and deepen their understanding and sense of belonging to the College. This year’s Orientation Camp was held on campus from 25 to 28 August 2025, with the theme “United to Radiance”. Through a thoughtfully designed series of activities, students were encouraged to reflect on their roles as university students and envision a radiant and vibrant future.
Student activities in the College serve as a form of experiential learning. Students are not only responsible for proactively forming Organising Committees, designing and leading activities, but also for exploring the deeper meaning behind these events. While many College traditions are preserved in the activities, each innovative attempt by the Organising Committee students invites reflection on the significance of these traditions and the necessity of innovation, allowing freshmen to gain more relevant and meaningful learning experiences.
