Mr Tai Chiu Ming, former College Secretary of United College, passed away on 3 August 2023, at the age of 70. Mr Tai was a CUHK alumnus.  He served United College, CUHK twice, as College Secretary from 1986 to 1994 and from 2001 to 2006. During his tenure, Mr Tai made significant contributions to the development of college affairs through active participation. He provided outstanding administrative work for the College Board of Trustees, Endowment Fund Committee and Assembly of Fellows. He wholeheartedly dedicated himself to every task, from fundraising to campus management. Mr Tai collaborated closely with several College Heads, Deans of Students, and colleagues of all ranks in United College, earning the love and respect of the trustees, college members and colleagues. After retirement, Mr Tai settled in Australia but always cared about the development of the university and United College. The College is deeply saddened by the passing of Mr Tai and extends our deepest condolences to Mr Tai’s family.
