The Opening Ceremony of the 17^th United College Head’s Cup took place at Lingnan Soccer Pitch on 15 January 2024. It was graced by the presence of Professor Stephen H S Wong, College Head, Professor Tang Sze Wing, Associate Head, Ms Crystal K Y Cheung, Associate Dean of Students and Warden of Adam Schall Residence, Mr Wong On Tung, Warden of Hang Seng Hall, Dr Lau Kwok On and Mr Ray W K Ho, Lecturers of Physical Education Unit, and student representatives of the cheering teams of six halls. The Ceremony was pushed to the climax when College Head kicked the ceremonial first pitch and officiated the football match held later at the venue.

The residents’ associations of four student hostels and two non-residential halls formed their own teams to play a series of ball games, including Men’s football, tennis, table tennis, volleyball, badminton, Women’s and Men’s basketball. All players fought with their best effort and skills in the games to compete for the overall championship.

After 1.5 months of intense matches, the 17^th United College Head’s Cup had come to an end on 1 March 2024 at the Thomas H C Cheung Gymnasium, with the Men’s Basketball Final (Hang Seng Hall VS Adam Schall Residence) as the finale. After the tough and exciting battles, Adam Schall Residence won and received their very first Overall Champion of the UC Head’s Cup from Professor Martin C S Wong, Associate College Head and Dean of Students. Hang Seng Hall and Pak Chuen Hall received the 1^st Runner-up and 2^nd Runner-up trophies from Professor Wong and marked the end of this years’ Head’s Cup!

Adam Schall Residence won in the Final of Men’s Basketball Match and received their very first Overall Championship in the Head’s Cup.
