Work Progress of Choi Kai Yau Residence
The site work of the 5th student hostel of United College, Choi Kai Yau Residence, commenced in April 2022. The Naming and Groundbreaking Ceremony for the new hostel was also held on July 2022. As per current construction progress, hoarding, tree felling, slope works, and the piling installation works were completed. The superstructure work is in progress now.

Professor Stephen H S Wong, College Head, and three Associate Heads, Professor Martin C S Wong, Professor Lee Hung Kay and Professor Tang Sze Wing, went to the site for inspection and visited a hostel room mockup on 25 January 2024. The College also arranged a visit to the hostel room mockup for student representatives on 26 January, allowing students to give their opinions.

The College arranged visits to the hostel room mockup for the College management team and student representatives on 25 January and 26 January respectively.
The construction project of Choi Kai Yau Residence is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2025. Let’s witness the milestones of the new hostel together and look forward to the fresh appearance it will bring to the United College campus!
