Mental Health First Aid Course of United College Student Wellness Programme

Mental Health First Aid Course of United College Student Wellness Programme

Life has its ups and downs, and it’s natural to feel low sometimes.

Want to comfort a friend but don’t know where to start?

When someone close to you is troubled, and you’re at a loss for what to do, or maybe your own emotions are tangled up, and you’re looking for effective ways to feel better?

If you’ve ever had these thoughts, we invite you to join the Mental Health First Aid Course organized by the United College Student Wellness Program.

The course is facilitated by Miss Cassie Lam, a registered nurse, bipolar disorder survivor, founder of Shelter by Shell and Spine, and an alumna of the College. It covers key concepts in mental health, provides foundational knowledge about mental illnesses, and introduces available community resources. The aim is to equip you with the skills to support friends and family during emotional challenges and to accompany loved ones through difficult times.

Participants who complete the entire course will receive a Mental Health First Aid Course Certificate issued by the Hong Kong Mental Health Association, proving they have received basic training in mental health.
